Thanks for your help, I have found "Highway Hawk forward controls" (for which they have forwarded me full fitting specs for me to check) and they have the fittings for all the bits for the brakes etc. and I get change from £300 so very happy, thanks again for your help it has been very much appreciated.

hi marky. you will have to get a plate made up to mount the rear brake parts. this will then have to be mounted on the bike where the foot boards are bolted on to the bike. if you go down this route get the plate made out of normal steel and get it powder coated or if not get it made out of stainless steel. more expensive but looks a lot better on the cruisers. the very expensive way is getting forward controls made to your 950.

Thanks for that, I have searched now and seen a few options for both but the rear break setup is all attached to the base of the footboard mount, where would I look at housing those when I remove the old foot board base?

Any ideas or dissemble and play?

hi marky you have 2 options i would use. put on forward controls or put foot pegs on instead of boards. my 1900 foot boards are always scraping the ground as these bikes are good cruisers for cornering.

I have a Yamaha XVS 950a, and absolutely love it but the footboards do grind out very very easily at the slightest whiff or a curve, is there anyway of changing this?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Mark
